My New Favorite Film: My Neighbor Totoro

My Neighbor Totoro is such a gem. I cannot do it justice through words.

Perhaps you suspect that I was taken in by the Cheshire-grinning cat bus with markings very like Zinger. You would be partially correct.

It’s the pure joy that radiates through the film. Even in the moments of drama there is creativity and life. That’s the gift that Hayao Miyazaki brings to his creations.

If you need a pick-me-up at the end of a long day, watch this film and just see if you don’t come away with the same grin that cat-bus has on it’s face.
