Ok, I’m fully committed to Escape from Alcatraz on June 5th and have been looking at what other races / training clinics I can do to prepare.
Here’s what I’ve come up with…
March 11th – Alcatraz Clinic with Pedro
April 17th Ice Breaker in Granite Bay:
Swim 0.5 mile – Bike 13 miles – Run 4 miles
April 23rd – Alcatraz Swim with Pedro
May 15 Morgan Hill Sprint Triathlon

0.75 mile Swim – 16 Mile Bike – 5 Mile Run
June 5th Escape From Alcatraz
San Francisco!
1.5 mile swim / 18m bike / 8m run
Last year I was all amped up for Barb’s Race at the end of July and then did nothing the rest of the year. That, it turns out, is not good for me.
So there are a couple of other things that I’m considering for July to December. Keeping in mind my big annual work event is the last week in August this year so I best not commit to any races around then.

I’d love to try a tri down here in the summer and head up to No. Cal. for my next one. Are there any good ideas for the summer or fall up there?
